The National Patient Toolkit™
The NPT® has been developed over a period of 6 years with the NHS and all its patient
groups to effectively measure personalised care and to provide organisations with
a unique opportunity to reach all their patients, including those who previously
have never had their voices or views heard.
For most of these groups, who are often the biggest users of NHS services, the filling
in of traditional paper forms is a barrier which they find impossible to overcome
and existing electronic feedback systems have simply never been designed with such
patient groups in mind.
|
NPT® is a unique, hand held survey tool which uses animated questionnaires incorporating
the character Fabio the Frog® to capture the opinions and experiences of children
and young people in settings such as healthcare, education and social services -
in fact, anywhere that the opinions of this traditionally hard-to-engage audience
are sought.
With government guidance such as Every Child Matters, the National Standards Framework
and The Next Stage Review driving the experience agenda, together with the advent
of World Class Commissioning, the NPT® allows full engagement with children
and young people across a range of sectors. It allows any service which interacts
with these groups to capture their feedback and use their collective voices to redesign
and develop services around the child's needs and wishes.

"One of the most important principles I suggest in the Next Stage Review is personalised
care. You can only do personalised care if you can measure the experience of the
patient", Lord Darzi.
