Hospitals
According to health experts, the biggest challenge for organisations in delivering
the aspirations of the Review over the next decade, will be capturing the opinions
and voices of groups of patients with whom the NHS has traditionally deemed hard
to reach and very difficult to engage.
NPT which has been developed with the patients and families of Liverpool's Alder
Hey Children's Hospital is now being redefined across the NHS by Adult Trusts as the No 1 ALL inclusive
patient experience toolkit, in line with Lord Darziās remit of "Quality Care for
All", rather than just the usual suspects, as is the case for the majority of other
survey toolkits.
Our commitment to working alongside all our NHS customers to continuously develop
the toolkit for use with different patient groups has resulted in many NHS Trusts
implementing the NPT in place of their previously existing systems.

In addition NPT is being used to carry out many other data collection exercises:
- Providing clear evidence of Trusts engagement across all patient communities to
fulfil CQUIN and quality audit requirements.
- Staff surveys
- National Patient Surveys
- Observational Audits
- Monitoring Clinical Audit Programmes
- Working with family groups to establish care routines and training programmes for
the administration of self medication in the home
- Developing Action Plans and Business Strategies
- Analysing and evidencing the success of interventions over time through trend analysis
- Using regression analysis to identify where intervention can most usefully be targeted
